Nusrat murder: June 20 set to frame charges
Feni Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal has set June 20 for framing charges against the accused in madrasa student Nusrat Jahan Rafi murder case.
Tribunal judge Mamunur Rashid on Monday fixed the date accepting the chargesheet in the case.
At the same time, the court ordered to send the accused to jail rejecting their bail petition.
Earlier, 21 accused in the case were produced before the court amid tight security.
Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) then submitted chargesheet to the court seeking death penalty for the accused.
Nusrat Jahan Rafi, 18, an Aleem examinee from Sonagazi Fazil Madrasa was set on fire allegedly by some fellows in the morning of April 6 as she refused to withdraw a case filed against the madrasa principal for sexual harassment. She died at the Burn Unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital on the night of April 10.
