Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Saturday expressed his hope that the squabble in Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) that surfaced soon after the announcement of full central committee will be solved soon.
The Road Transport and Bridges Minister came up with the remark replying to a query of journalists during his visit to Mohakhali Bus Terminal.
A group of post-deprived BCL leaders were observing their sit-in programme at Dhaka University over the new committee.
Quader said, "In absence of me, our leader (Sheikh Hasina) entrusted four leaders with the responsibility to resolve the problems of BCL relating to the new committee, internal feud or organizational problem. I have talked with the four leaders. The discussion with the protesters is going to. I hope, the problems will be resolved very soon."
About the BNP's allegation of imprisoning Khaleda Zia on political ground, Quader said the AL government cannot be blamed for her imprisonment. If they want to blame anyone, they can blame the last caretaker government for that, he said.
