MOTHER’S DAY SPECIAL
You cried , her eyes danced in delight
her lips trembled at her happiest moment.
She squeezed the Pacific into your eyes
your vision unfolded to endless surprise.
Hunger, thirst that possessed your heart and lips
vanished as she held you tight against her chest,
juvenile night knocked the door
moonlight peeped through in full zest.
You shivered, her arms spun around your bare body
love poured in torrents-
colours of the fragrant petals stained the whole road;
in the eye of the newborn, complete awe for the mother
Ghosts thump and rule the dark terrain.
Heartbeats inked with spooky tattoo.
Violence spins out of the creeks along the split-line
Pale trees exhale CO2.
Phantoms cry out in total exuberance
Mandate! Mandate! Mandate!
Anguished graveyard screams loud
no more wait , no more wait , no more wait.
