Army drill on protecting Rohingyas during disaster

The Army on Thursday organised an exercise on "protecting Rohingya people from the natural disaster" at Rohingya camp area under Ukhia Upazila of Cox's Bazar.
The aim of the exercise, organized by the 10th Infantry Division of Bangladesh Army, is to protect Rohingya people, who were ousted by the Myanmar military from their habitats, now living in Ukhiya and Teknaf hill areas in the district, said a press release of ISPR.
State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief Dr Enamur Rahman, Principal Staff Officer of Armed Forces Division Lt Gen Md Mahfuzur Rahman, Senior Secretary of Disaster Management Ministry Md Shah Kamal and senior officials, including Area Commander of 10th Infantry Division Maj Gen Md Main Ullah Chowdhury, were present.
Bangladesh Armed Forces, BGB, police, RAB, Ansar, Fire Service, BNCC, local administration, NGOs, various organizations of UN and Rohingya people took part in the exercise as volunteers.
