Strict Law should be amended for rape cases

Published : Friday, 24 May, 2019 at 12:00 AM  Count : 91

Dear Sir

Nowadays the incident of rape, gang-rape is increasing at a tremendous speed. More or less every day  , we go through the news of rape , gang-rape in different districts of the country , in different ways .If  the concerned authorities fails to take strong initiative and stern action against the offenders then the situation may go out of control and turn epidemic .
We have witnessed worst incidents of rape and thereafter killing of Tonu, killing Nusrat to fire, the rape of house wife of Subarnachar, the rape and killing of Shahinoor Akhter Tania in bus and lastly the rape of a school girl by a police in  Madaripur and many more painful incidents. Nobody is safe as when she may come under the greed of sexual assault by these social animals.
However , in my opinion and reviewing the incidents of rapes last few years there is no option with us to see these cases  in a lenient  way  and law should be immediately  amended for  capital punishment and within 30  working days of filing the case by a victim  as justice delayed justice denied.
