A young journalist, who worked with online portal '' as sub-editor, was found dead in Sadar upazila of Jamalpur district on Tuesday night.

Deceased Ihsan Ibne Reza Fagun, 21, hailed from Jamalpur district, said Jamalpur GRP Police Station officer in-charge Tapaschandra Pandit.

The OC said local people spotted Ihsan's body beside railway in Ranagachha Madhyapara area and informed police.

Police, later, went to the spot and recovered the body.

Police assume the journalist might have been strangulated to death, said OC Tapas, adding that no injury mark was found on the body.  

Meanwhile, Ihsan's father Kakan, also Sherpur correspondent of NTV, said his son was coming home in the district by train yesterday evening.

At night, he was informed by police about his son's death, Kakan added.
