No bar to make report on case hearing: Law Minister
Informing that there is no bar to make report on any case hearing, Law Minister Anisul Huq on Sunday said,"But, opinion can not be given in any sub-judice cases.

The Minister said this while talking to reporters after a meeting with the envoys of Switzerland and Sweden and representatives from the UN and UNDP at his Secretariat office.

Replying to a question over the Supreme Court directives regarding reporting on sub-judice cases, he first made clear the term of sub-judice...that means the proceedings of any under trial case that remain halted.

"I don't think the SC asked to stop reporting on hearing of a case. I want to make it clear that reports and opinions should be treated differently," the Minister said.

Anisul Huq also advocated the journalists to ask the Appellate Division for getting its clear opinion in this regard.
