Bashundhara Kings leading the point table
Bashundhara Kings, one of the two newbie rivals of Bangladesh Premier League, is leading the point table of the league while Dhaka Abahani and Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra are right behind it.
Bashundhara Kings and NoFeL Sporting Club (A club based on three neighbouring areas Noakhali, Feni and Lakkhipur) were promoted to the top event of local football this year. While NoFeL is managing to fit at the 10th place of the point table with only nine points, Bashundhara Kings is at the top place with 37 points playing 13 matches.
Dhaka Abahani, the traditional sky blues, is fighting at the second place with 33 points and +18 goal differences while playing one match more than the rivals, Sheikh Russel KC is at the third place with same 33 points. The Russel boys are three goals behind of Dhaka Abahani.
Saif Sporting Club is holding the fourth place with 29 points and Arambagh fifth place with 19 points.
Currently, Brothers Union and Team BJMC are in danger of relegation with 8 and 4 points correspondingly.
In the meantime, the match between traditional black and white outfits Mohammedan Sporting Club and Arambagh Krira Sangha on Friday was abandoned due to Nor'wester in the evening.
