Three killed in road mishaps

Three persons were killed in separate road accidents in two districts- Bogura and Gopalganj, on Wednesday.
SHERPUR, BOGURA: A teenage boy and his cousin sister were killed in a road accident at Kellaposhi area under Sherpur Upazila of the district on Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as Nazim Hossen, 15, son of Abdur Razzak, and his cousin Mariam Akhter, 10, daughter of Abdul Mazid of Sheker Maria Village under Nandigram Upazila.
Local sources said a truck dashed the motorcycle carrying the two victims at the said area, leaving both dead on the spot.
Sub-Inspector of Sherpur Police Station (PS) Iqbal Hossen Bhuiyan said the motorcycle and the truck were kept under their custody.
GOPALGANJ: A man was killed in an accident on Dhaka-Khulna highway at Dumdia area under Sadar Upazila of the district early Wednesday.
Deceased Pannu Khan, 55, was the son of Akman Khan of Paikkandi Village in the upazila.
Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Gopalganj 250-Bed General Hospital for an autopsy.
