Deprived BCL men demand punishment to attackers

Post-deprived leaders of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) on Wednesday demanded punishment to those involved in launching attack on them.

The demand came from a human chain formed by nearly 50 BCL men at the foot of ‘Aparajeyo Bangla’ in the afternoon.

They criticised the inclusion of “controversial leaders” in the 301-member committee of the central BCL and demanded cancellation  of the new committee.

The agitated politicos also demanded punishment to those assaulted them at Madhur Canteen on Monday.

The BCL on Monday announced its 301-member full-fledged central committee.

Earlier on Tuesday, deprived BCL leaders issued a 48-hour ultimatum to reform the committee excluding controversial leaders.

On July 31, the ruling party’s student wing BCL announced a partial committee naming Rezwanul Haque Chowdhury Raza and Golam Rabbani as its president and general secretary respectively.
