SPIYCE Community visit

ELCOP conducted a two-day-long community visit, the second phase of Simulation Project for Integrating Youth and Community Empowerment (SPIYCE) on 19th and 20th April 2019.
Participants along with supervisors and local guides visited Mogbazar, Kamalapur and Dhupkhola Trans Community on the first day of their field visit whereas Postogola and Doyagonj on the second. They talked with the members of the community. They took interview of more than thirty transgenders about their backgrounds, livings, social security, human rights violations etc.
They visited Mogbazar, Kamalapur and Dhupkhola to interview transgender people who described how the difficult way of their livings, how they became prey to social oppressors since their childhood. Participants noted down in which sectors transgenders become the victims of human rights violation most. They also Shampur and Doyagonj. Participants mainly focused on freedom of religion, identity crisis, social security and disintegration from the mainstream.
