11 hurt in clash over land dispute

At least 11 people, including women, were injured as villagers clashed over land dispute in Sadar upazila of Panchagarh district on Monday morning.

The injured are Babul, 28, Zahangir, 70, Khairul, 60, Farida, 35, Mamunur Rahman, Amizul, 32, Imdadul, 40, Sujan, 20, Tafizul, 28, and Hazera.

Citing locals, police said men of Kazirhat area residents Khairul and Mofiz Uddin clashed in the area following a long standing dispute over a piece of land, leaving 11 hurt.

The injured were rushed to Panchagarh Adhunik Sadar Hospital from where critically injured five were sent to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
