LRB changes to Balam and the Legacy

LRB changes to Balam and the Legacy

On April 5, popular band LRB, celebrated their nineteenth founding anniversary. On this day the band members remembered their founding master, Ayub Bachchu. Bachchu, the lead guitarist and vocalist passed away on October 18, last year. Since then the band had been missing its vocal. Thus on April 5, the band also announced its new vocalist-noted singer-cum-guitarist Balam. But within ten days of that announcement the band has declared that the name of the band itself will be changed. Now the team of musicians will be known as 'Balam and the Legacy.' This has been done at the request of the family members of Ayub Bachchu.

Guitarist of the band Masud confirmed the news to the media. He said that the family members of Ayub Bachchu made special requests to the band to not use the old name of the band. With due respect for the family, the band has decided to not to use the old name anymore. However they added that they wanted to pay full respect to Ayub Bachchu and for this reason wanted to keep his memories alive. Thus they included Balam to play the role Ayub Bachchu used to play. They would gradually start composing new songs as well.
The new band would keep on performing songs by Ayub Bachchu's songs in different stage shows and concerts. The band declared that Ayub Bachchu taught them that 'The Show Must Go On.' Thus with due respect for him and also for his family's request, the new band would continue to perform his songs unless the family requests not to do so.
It has been reported that the band wanted to discuss with the family of Ayub Bachchu regarding a new vocalist of the band, to keep it going. But none wanted to sit for an agreement. They did not want to cause a debacle over Ayub Bachchu and never backed away from taking any decision that would honour Ayub Bachchu. Thus they changed the name. The family of Ayub Bachchu however claimed that ever since the death of the rock singer nobody contacted them. They were not informed about the new vocalist either.
On April 5, on his introduction to LRB, Balam announced that he cannot replace Ayub Bachchu just by playing his role. He asked everyone to not to compare him with Ayub Bahchu.
