Burn injured Feni madrasha student on life support
The burn injured Feni madrasha student, who has been undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), was put on life support on Monday.
She was put on life support at 12 noon as his condition deteriorated, said the DMCH's Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit coordinator Dr Samanta Lal Sen.
Earlier on Sunday, the Burn Unit has formed a nine-member medical board for the treatment of victim Nusrat Jahan Rafi, an Alim examinee from Sonagazi Fazil Madrsaha,
On that day, Dr Samanta Lal Sen said that condition of the girl was grave and might deteriorate at any time.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has also inquired about the girl and asked the people concerned to bring the perpetrators to book.
Meanwhile, police arrested accused madrasha principal Maulana Siraj-ud-Doula on March 27.
Rafi was set on fire allegedly by some fellows on Saturday morning shortly before the beginning of an examination.
Police said the victim had lodged a complaint against the madrasha principal over sexual harassment on March 17.
