Educan Int’l launches in BD

Cambridge Assessment English (part of the University of Cambridge) launched a new Cambridge English Exam Centre, Educan International Ltd at Dhaka. EduCan International was established in 2015 which is a registered company in the UK and Bangladesh. The objective of the organization is "creating opportunities and changing lives".  Since the inception of the organization, it has been working for creating opportunities and changing lives of Bangladeshi youngsters.  As part of its mission of changing lives, EduCan has partnered with the world's famous University of Cambridge's assessment wing to ensure access to worldwide recognized Cambridge English qualifications to the aspiring Bangladeshis.
The launching ceremony was graced by Prof Dr Harun-or-Rashid, Vice- Chancellor of National University Bangladesh as chief guest, while Sebastian Pearce, Director Examinations, British Council Bangladesh and TK Arunachalam, Regional Director (South Asia) of Cambridge Assessment English, were present as special guests. Senior officials from Cambridge English, educationists, principals of English medium schools, journalists from British Council were also present. Prof Harun-or-Rashid congratulated EduCan International for bringing the Cambridge English qualifications centre in Bangladesh. He also highlighted the importance of English in order to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and fulfill the target of becoming a middle income country by 2021 and developed country by 2041.
Arunachalam said, "Cambridge English exams can open up a world of study, work or travel opportunities. These exams are designed to develop practical English language communication skills for career and study success and extensively researched by one of the world's largest dedicated language research teams".
In the welcome speech the Managing Director of EduCan International and Head of Cambridge English Centre, Shahin Reza said these exams open doors to higher study, enhance employment opportunities and increase choice of study or work for the students. With a Cambridge English Certificate, the student will be able to prove his/her English language skills to universities, employers and governments departments around the world.
