National Primary Education Week-2019 on in districts
National Primary Education Week-2019 that began on Wednesday with a call to ensure quality primary education to the students is on in districts.
GAIBANDHA: Marking the week, the district primary education office at the directives of Ministry of Primary and Mass Education organised different programmes. In the morning, Deputy Commissioner (DC) M Abdul Matin formally inaugurated the week through participating in a rally in front of Independence Square of the town as chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, DC M Abdul Matin emphasised the need for ensuring quality teaching to the students in the greater interest of national progress and prosperity and to make the learners worthy citizens of the country as well.
The DC also urged the teachers to be serious and more professional in principle so that all the schools can be turned into knowledge acquiring centres to produce brilliant students from there to face the challenges of the 21st century. Later, the rally ended at Maddhyapara Government Primary School after parading the main roads of the town. Then, a discussion meeting was held on the school ground with District Primary Education Officer (DPEO) M Hossain Ali in the chair. Superintendent of Primary Teachers' Institute Samsia Akhter Begum, Assistant DPEO Iftekhar Firoz, Instructor of Sadar Upazila Resource Centre Mahbubur Rahman and Assistant Upazila Education Officer Firoz Kabir addressed the meeting, among others, while Assistant Upazila Education Officer Shahnaj Begum was moderator.
DPEO M Hossain Ali said more programmes like education fair, Mina display, puppet show, workshop on quality education, educative cultural function, and documentary film screening will be held marking the week.
He also sought whole hearted cooperation of all to make national primary education week-2019 a grand success in the district through active participation of all the concerned.
KISHOREGANJ: On the occasion, a colourful rally was brought out in the town on Wednesday morning. Later, a discussion meeting was held at Kishoreganj Collectorate conference room.
DPEO Md Sazzad Hossain presided over meeting while DC Md Sarowar Murshed Chowdhury was chief guest and Additional Police Super Md Shafiqul Islam was special guest. It was addressed, among others, by Sadar Upazila Education Officer Emadul Hoque, Assistant Director of Non-Formal Education Bureau Abdul Malek, Assistant Primary Education Officer Zayeda Rubayat, and Head Teacher of Sholakia Government Primary School Shyamol Chakraborti.
GAFARGAON, MYMENSINGH: On the occasion, a rally was brought out that paraded the main roads of the town.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Kazi Mahbubur Rahman, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Ashraful Siddique, acting Education Officer Hafizul Islam, Assistant Education Officer Nazmul Huda, Shahinur Islam, Sabuj Mia, Monirul Amin, and retired teacher of Government Secondary School Nurul Islam Sikdar were present at the rally.
