Mushi available for Christchurch Test
Bangladesh wicketkeeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim is all set to play the 3rd and final of the three-match Test series, which is scheduled to commence on March 16 at Hagley Oval, Christchurch.
Former Tigers captain had been attacked by his old foe, the rib injury during ODI series. He felt chest pain during second match on February 16 but kept the wickets and partaken in the final ODI remaining half-fit.
Mushfiqur, 30, also sustained hamstring injury and remained sidelined in first two Tests of the ongoing series, who is expected to come back in the whitewash escaping clash that Tigers team manager Khaled Mashud Pilot said to media.
"I think he will be available for the last Test,'' said Mashud. "He batted in the nets confidently against throw-downs. And seemed that he was not struggling like the way he did it earlier,'' he added.
"We must make a call on him tomorrow (on Thursday) but in all likelihood, he is expected to be available unless any other complication arises,'' the former skipper told.
Tamim Iqbal played Wellington Test despite some niggles. Mushud confirmed Tamim's fitness before final series closer. "Tamim did not complain and it looked he was fine,'' Masud expressed "So we can also expect his service," he ended.
