Three probe bodies formed

The government has formed three separate committees to investigate the deadly fire in Chawkbazar, the old part of the Dhaka.
The Ministry of Home Affairs, Fire Service and Civil Defence Authorities and National Human Rights Commission
formed these committees to investigate the inferno within 24 hours of the accident.
"The committee was asked to submit its report within seven working days, we need to know the cause of these devastating inferno," Home Minister Asaduzzaman Kamal told the reporters following a visit in Chawkbazar areas on Thursday.
However, a three member probe committee has been formed by the Fire Service and Civil Defence Authorities to investigate the deadly fire in Chawkbazar, the old part of the Dhaka that left at least 81 people dead and scores injured.
The three members of the committee are Deputy Director of Operation and
Maintenance of fire service Dilip Ghosh, DAD Abdul Halim and AD Salahuddin.
Meanwhile, National Human Rights Commission has also formed a five member probe committee to investigate the Chawkbazar accident issue. Following a visit at the areas, Kazi Riazul Haque, Chairman of the Commission told the journalists that committee will investigate the negligence of the different agencies if there is any.
The death toll from the fire at a chemical warehouse in Chawkbazar area of Old Dhaka has stood at 70.
