‘Robber’s’ bullet hit body found in Jashore

JASHORE, Feb 13: A suspected robber was killed in a reported clash between two factions at Rahmatpur Bhagar in Sadar upazila early Wednesday. The identity of the deceased could not be known yet.
Being tipped off that two gangs of robbers were exchanging bullets in the area, a team of police went to the spot in the dead of night, said Sub-Inspector Nur-un-Nabi of Kotwali Model Police Station. Police rescued a man with bullet injury while the others managed to flee the scene sensing presence of the law enforcers.
Later, the injured was taken to Upazila Sadar Hospital where the doctors declared him dead. The police team also recovered a one-shutter gun, a bullet, a saw, three sharp weapons and rope were recovered from the spot.    -UNB
