Jodi Ekdin coming on Int'l Women's Day
Fagun Haway, the first film on the Language Movement of 1952 will be released on February 15 at fifty-two cinema halls across the country. Members of Censors' Board have reportedly praised the film. President Abdul Hamid has consented to attend the premiere show at Star Cineplex, Shimanta Shambhar, Dhanmondi.
On the other hand modern family drama Jodi Ekdin will be released on March 8 on the occasion of the International Women's Day. The number of halls will be decided later. Iftekhar Uddin Nowshad of Censors' Board has praised the film for being full of family-related sentimentalities and emotions.
Fagun Haway is about the setting of a remote rural area during the Language Movement. Two youngsters played by Nusrat Imrose Tisha and Siam Ahmed get entangled in the new socio-political scenario during the movement and start getting involved in it. Other actors of the film are Bollywood star Yashpal Sharma, Faruk Ahmed, Abul Hayat, Afroza Banu, Shazu Khadem and more. The film is based on Tito Rahman's literary work named 'Bou Kotha Kow.'
On the other hand noted director Mostofa Kamal Raz's fifth film 'Jodi Ekdin' also dares to be a memorable watch as the director claims that he has not left any spot while making the film. The film is about young girl Raisa and her interaction with her parents who at times tend to get bitter between themselves. Singer Tahsaan Khan will debut on silver screen through the film as the father of 'Raisa'. Tollywood actress Srabonti will also appear in a Bangladeshi production for the first time through the film. The film has been produced by Bengal Multimedia.
