Housewife killed by 'brother-in-law'

A housewife was killed allegedly by her brother-in-law over family feud in Dakshinkhan area of capital Dhaka on Monday evening.

Deceased Sharmin Akter was a resident of TAC colony in the area, said Dakshinkhan Police Station officer in-charge Tapan Taha.

The OC said Shafiqul, brother-in-law of the deceased, stabbed her around 6:00pm, leaving her dead.

Shafiqul also stabbed Sharmin's mother Hamida Begum when she tried to save her.

Hamida Begum has been admitted at Bangladesh Medical College Hospital, the OC added.
