Militancy, drugs main barriers to good governance, says DMP chief

Asaduzzaman Mia Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Sunday said terrorism, militancy and drugs are the main barriers to establishing good governance in the country.
"Now it is our prime challenge to root out terrorism, militancy and fight smuggling for establishing good governance," he said while talking to leaders of Crime Reporters' Association of Bangladesh (Crab) at his office.
Crab President Abul Khair, General Secretary Dipu Sarwar and other leaders of the association were present at the view exchange meeting.
Claiming that the country is now on the highway of development, Asaduzzaman said: "We will have to take all development activities forward."
