Bloodman turns five

On December 23, Bloodman celebrated its 5th anniversary. Bloodman, is the first online based blood donation organization, began its journey in 2014 with the slogan "You can't be a Superman but you can certainly be a bloodman."
Bloodman saved 16000lives by arranging donors. It has built home for 150 families where 600 people got home to live, medical consultation and it provided free medicine to 10000 people.

Md Sahariar Hasan Jisun, founder of Bloodman said, "At present, we have eight founders and also they have a big team of 184persons who worked to help the people who are in need of blood. This organization saved 16 person's lives per day by donating bloodman and also it helps people to reach the hospital to home or home to hospitals by their Bloodman Bike service."

Jisun also said, "The expansion is a priority now. We want to help more people and support more matching. One of the goals in the near term is to grow the team size which would allow us to serve more people. At present, we don't promote our service much in order to control the number of requests we receive. As we grow, we would be able to forego this barrier."

On its fifth anniversary, team of Bloodman has celebrated World Bloodman Day through a big program having different event. At first they host a tree plantation program at Green Road, Dhaka. Then they collected and donated blood for the Thelasemia patients. After that they arranged a reunion programme for the blood donors. They also gave the recognition award to the people who worked for Bloodman since the days of 2014. Lastly, it showed its short film how Bloodman contributes to people's life.
