Call 999 to check authenticity of rumors

Bangladesh Police on Wednesday asked the countrymen to take help of emergency service 999 to examine the authenticity of information to avoid rumors following the upcoming general election.

Police in a press release said in recent times vested groups are spreading confusing information using the social media, posters, leaflets, speeches, pictures, videos etc, UNB reports.





The people have been urged not to get confused with rumors and fake news and call 999 for inspecting reality of the matter, the handout said.
