Hult Prize final round held at JKKNIU
Hult Prize on campus final round was held at conference room of Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University (JKKNIU) on Dec 7, 2018.
Bill Clintonne, Ex- President of USA partnership with the United Nation's, the Hult Prize Foundations has created the world's largest students movement and crowd sourcing platform dedicated to solving the most pressing social issues on the planet. It has been continuing its activities since 2009. It is termed as the Nobel Prize of the students. The ultimate goal of the prize is to generate business idea to start a business for removing unemployment problems among the university students.
Probin Tripura, Campus Director, Hult Prize at JKKNIU, arranged the competition for the 1st time. A sum of 92 teams along with his business idea participated in the 1st round competition while the best 10 teams vied in the final round. "The Goal Getters" team reached the 1st position while First Runners Up- Gang of Mymensingh and Second Runners Up- BD Riders. This team has generated an idea named "Safe food is an agricultural project that will help the people by increasing their life span in a hygienic way. It will make more than ten thousands jobless youth to unemployment and it is going to diminish the food borne illness and will help us to develop our economy".
At the program, Tusher Roy, CEO of UN Japan Asia culture exchange Bangladesh, was present as special guest. The judges were Iqbal Ahmed F Hasan Russell, MD of Divine IT Ltd, Mohammad Zahid Hossain, MD & CEO of multitex group, Biplob Kanti Das, Founder & MD of IDOL Focus.
Among others, Asst Proctor Al Zabir and Sakar Mustafa, adviser of the Hult Prize, students, were present here.
