Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is slated to meet youths on Friday in an interactive event, 'Let's Talk.' It will be a milestone in the history of Bangladesh that a Prime Minister will join such an event with the youth.
The Prime Minister will meet some 150 youths, including entrepreneurs, professionals, service holders, students, sports and cultural activists, selected from across the country in the event titled "Let's Talk with Sheikh Hasina" from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at her official residence Ganobhaban, says a press release.
Awami League's research wing Centre for Research and Information (CRI) will organize the event. Several television channels including BTV will broadcast it live.
The Prime Minister will share various initiatives and plans taken by her government to make the country a 'Sonar Bangla' as dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The Prime Minister will take questions from the participants and reply to their queries, said CRI's Senior Analyst and Coordinator Barrister Shah Ali Farhad.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina welcomed the initiative as she always tries to listen to youths and gives priority to their views, he said.
CRI has been organizing the 'Let's Talk' on a regular basis to bring opportunities for youths to exchange views with policymakers. The event has acted as a platform for the new generation to share their ideas and problems with the policymakers.
Prime Minister's Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Affairs Adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy attended several episodes of Let's Talk arranged by CRI.
