Mother, son die from snakebite in Sirajganj

SIRAJGANJ, Oct 11: A woman and her son died from snakebite at Malshin Village of Madhainagar Union in Tarash Upazila early Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as Rabeya Sultana, 25, wife of Yasin Ali of the village and her son Siam, 4.
Chairman of the union Abu Hasan Mirza said the woman was asleep along with her son on Tuesday night. A venomous snake bit them early Wednesday.
Hearing their scream, family members rushed them to Upazila Health Complex but later died on way to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital.
Physician of the Emergency Department of Upazila Health Complex Asif Mahmud confirmed the incident.
