Four people were killed in separate incidents in two districts- Bogura and Satkhira, in three days.
BOGURA: Two people were killed in separate incidents at Sadar and Dupchachia upazilas in two days.
Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) of Sadar Police Station (PS) Kamruzzaman said Raja Molla, 60, son of late Azimuddin of Jaspara Village wanted indebted money from one Robiul on Thursday at 10am.
At one stage of their scuffle, Robiul and his father Ilias Hossen beat Raja with iron rod and stick, leaving him seriously injured.
He was rushed to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital where he died at 11am.
A case is under process in this connection.
On the other hand, Dupchachia PS OC Abdur Razzak said Ayesha Begum, 28, wife of a broom seller Abdul Mannan of Borochapra Village in Talora Union of the upazila went to sleep along with her daughter Mili, 5, on Wednesday night. On Thursday morning, Mili found her mother's slaughtered body and started to scream.
Being informed by family members, police recovered the body and sent it to the hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Family members said the deceased's husband went out of home few days back and did not return.
A case was filed in this connection.
SATKHIRA: Two people including a woman were killed in separate incidents in Patkelghata Upazila on Monday.
The deceased were identified as Momtaz Begum, 47, of Nagarghata Village and Gopal Ghosh, 53, of Jhargachha Village.
Local sources said Momtaz Begum altercated with her daughter Tumpa Khatun on Monday night. At one stage, Tumpa hit on her head with an iron rod, leaving her seriously injured.
Later, she died on way to Khulna Medical College Hospital.
On the other hand, local people found the body of Gopal Ghosh floating in a water body at night and informed police.
Police suspect miscreants might have strangled Gopal and dumped the body in the water body.
