PM and innovative thoughts
The development of the country through innovation has recently been the talked of topics in Bangladesh. The guidance of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been working as a source of inspiration for the country. Here, some points of Prime Minister's innovative thought can be introduced. I was fortunate to hear the Prime Minister's informative speech at the Convention of the Institute of Engineers Bangladesh. She is not a technocrat but she can endorse the idea of creating new knowledge of technology. Researchers are currently working on the use of solar power in renewable energy.
Prime Minister highlighted a problem in the conference. Bangladesh has earned self-sufficiency in food; it is a matter of pride for our state. In this context, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that the country has achieved self-sufficiency in food production due to its government formulating agro-friendly policies for overall development of agriculture and taking timely steps. But she does not want to stop here.
She thinks that solar panels are large in size comparing of the arable land. As a result, the place becomes shadowy and dark. Due to this, it cannot reach the shade of light in adequate sunlight for the production of grains. As a result, the amount of cultivable land is reduced and the yield is not good either. To solve this problem, she thinks that if these solar panels are placed above the cultivable land, then it is possible to overcome such obstruction. The things that are significant here are that she analyzed the limitations of technology at the grassroots level and presented a solution to it.
It may also be that, perhaps the Prime Minister has shown the limitations of the solar panel and has inspired researchers to create new ideas. As a result, an innovative idea that could create variations of other innovative concepts can be identified as an example. As a matter of fact, a researcher wonders how to make solar panels smaller by forming solar chips and producing the same amount of energy. I remember another program of 16th founding anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University situated in Salna area of Gazipur city. There, the Prime Minister spoke about her own planning and thinking about agricultural innovation.
Prime Minister's childhood days have been passed on the bank of Madhumati River. She saw row sailing boat, as well as the lives of people, nature and fishermen. He did not even forget about the green turtles of the river. He explained that these floating vegetables can be cultivated in this fecund climate. Although she explained this, her main objective was to give priority to the fact that the crop can be produced in the water and the research that can be done in this regard. This innovative idea inspired agricultural researchers. Through this, he has indirectly highlighted the concept of cultivating farmers' interest in crop production in the hydroponic method. As many areas of our country are flooded, there is a growing sense among common people that there will be no crop production. But this method has traditionally been in Europe, America, Japan, Taiwan, China and Middle East countries.
The concept of innovative ideas of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in international climate change is internationally recognized. She identified new elements of climate change in national security which was not considered before. In this case, she identified food, water and migration as the three elements associated with climate change. She thinks from his personal experience and long-standing observations that these two fundamental elements are influenced by the effects of climate change, food production and food quality. This leads to a lack of safe and clean water which is directly related to human life and livelihood.
Again, climate change has forced millions of people to become disorganized internationally. It has direct impact on social and economic resources which are new concerns for safety. Due to these effects, the increase in the pressure on resources, climate change, sustainable grain management and ensuring proper use of water and effective management, as well as the concept of formation of a global fund for water management reflects the creative ideas of the Prime Minister.
This is the concept of a comprehensive share basis of global solutions. The concept of Prime Minister's development is a practical innovation keeping the carbon emission down. Climate Change Trust Fund, establishment of green belt project in coastal 900 km area, achieving the goal of solar power by 2018 has been the thought of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on all issues. In this context, Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Program, AchimSteinner, poses a positive impression: "Bangladesh has taken many innovative policy initiatives and challenges of climate change by investing as the main object of its development through the adoption of climate change adaptation program, As a result of acceptance or Ladesera risks of climate change and environmental disasters, present and future generations are much more prepared to deal with the adverse effects." For example, Sheikh Hasina is a leading advocate of climate change adaptation and a strong proponent of the adaptation policy.
The Global Innovation Exchange (GIE) has recognized Bangladesh's Prime Minister as 'Most Innovative Politician'. This organization promotes innovation and carry out experimental research. It also collects creative ideas for innovation and thinking and publishes those topics in their magazine. The data of their latest research has said, "The innovative power of the world and the government heads is gradually decreasing, they are operating on the basis of routine work. At present, there is no head of government, except Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina whose innovative thoughts have influenced the state."
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's three initiatives have been identified as highly creative and innovative which has inspired other countries to apply them in their country. The organization has identified this concept as "The Community Clinic", the most innovative idea of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, and the community clinic concept is a realistic concept in the world's health system if Africa and Asia will facilitate health care for all. According to the Global Innovation Exchange, the concept of community participation in the clinic is unique to have the de facto right to health of the people. The implementation of the second innovative thought of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is to say 'One House One Farm', through which a surprising way of finding economic development of poor people has been discovered. This is also a participatory activity. Through this, the people themselves are self-reliant.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's third innovative idea is named as Digital Bangladesh. Actually, Sheikh Hasina has brought a silent revolution in Bangladesh by delivering information technology to the poor, uneducated and less educated people. Bangladesh is one of the world's largest mobile phone users. The image of Bangladesh has been changed through information technology. GIE thinks Bangladesh is one of the most forward-looking countries. Without an innovative thought, a nation cannot move forward. The Europeans including Greece are considered as one of the great examples of the Global Innovation Exchanges and like them, Bangladesh can also an emerging country in this sector.
She has not only kept this creativity in himself, but also spread her planning and leadership among all folks of people. Recently, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said to the public servants, "It will be dedicated to the welfare of the people by utilizing the innovative force without doing duty as a routine work. Just people do not have to be limited to routine duties. If you work with innovative power, then you have to take steps to think about the welfare of the people. Wherever he/she is responsible, he/she should think that it is my own responsibility as this country is mine. The people of the country are mine. Therefore, we have to work for the welfare of the people of the country."
Here, the concept of forming a welfare state has been inspired by the use of innovative power. In reality, where there is humanity and honesty man can think of something new and innovative. She is our Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina who thinks of innovation for the welfare of the people to lead the country successfully.
