Salim, Sohela elected NCC Bank Chairman, Vice-chairman
Md Nurun Newaz Salim and Sohela Hossain have been elected Chairman and Vice-chairman respectively of NCC Bank Limited (NCC Bank).
The election came at a recent board meeting of the bank held at its head office in the capital, said a press release.
Nurun Newaz Salim is an eminent industrialist and entrepreneur of the country.
He is Chairman of Electro Mart Limited and Trade International Marketing Limited.
He is Senior Vice-president of Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The industrialist was Chairman of Central Insurance Company Limited and a member of the Board of Trustee of Feni University.
He has also established many Schools, Colleges and Madrashas in Feni including Moulvi Shamsul Karim College, Nurun Newaz High School, Amin Newaz Girls High School, Moulvi Shamsul Karim Madrasha, Shaheda Newaz Kindergarten School etc.
On the other hand, Sohela Hossain is a renowned educationist, social worker and researcher.
As a CIP, she is Director of Mir Akter Hossain Limited, Mir Cement Limited and Mir Real Estate Limited.
After completing her BA (Hons) and MA degrees in Philosophy from the University of Dhaka, she started her career in teaching profession.
She was involved in this profession with Dhaka International University and Tejgaon University College for more than two decades.
She wrote several books on religious topics. She is a renowned Rabindra Sangeet singer of Radio & Television.
