Cattle trader killed by lightning strike


A cattle trader was killed and five others were injured by lightning strike in Kapasia upazila of Gazipur on Tuesday noon.

Son of Akmoth Ali, deceased Mumtaj Uddin, 55, was a resident of Ejjotpur village of Shreepur upazila.

Thunderbolt struck Akmoth and five others in noon at Amraeed market in the upazila, leaving Akmoth and a cow dead on the spot, said Sarafat Mollah, general secretary of the market.

The injured were rushed to Kapasia upazila health complex for treatment.
