Three killed in Panchagarh road accident

PANCHAGARH, Sept 9: A man and his two children were killed and his wife was injured in a road accident on Dhaka-Panchagarh highway at Dhonipara area of the district town on Saturday night.
The deceased were identified as Akteruzzaman, 45, of Kaunikhua Village in Pamuly Union of Debiganj Upazila in the district and a sales representative at an electronics showroom in the town, his six-year-old daughter Afsa Ibnat Adia and 14-month-old son Abdullah.
His wife Tania Akhter, 35, was seriously injured in this connection.
Police and eyewitnesses said Akteruzzaman was returning home from Thakurgaon along with his family members riding a motorcycle. On the way, a Dhaka-bound bus dashed the bike, leaving Akteruzzaman dead on the spot and three injured.
Later, two died on way to a local hospital.
Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Police Station Robiul Hasan Sarker confirmed the incident.
