BNP rally denounces ‘unconstitutional’ court

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) organized a rally in Rajshahi protesting at the setting up of a court inside jail premises ‘unconstitutionally’.
The rally was held in front of the Rajshahi city BNP office around 11am on Saturday.
BNP chairperson's adviser and former mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) Mizanur Rahman Minu, Rajshahi city BNP president Mosaddek Hossain Bulbul, general secretary Advocate Shafiqul Haq Milon and others spoke on the occasion.
BNP leaders and activists pushed for various demands including release of Khaleda Zia.
Earlier, Rajshahi District BNP unit organized a protest meeting, demanding proper medical facility and unconditional release of the BNP Chairperson.
The rally was held in the Moonlight Gardens adjoining Sahebbazar in the city on Saturday morning.
Rajshahi district BNP president Tofazjal Hossain Chowdhury presided over the meeting while BNP Chairperson's adviser Quamrul Monir was the chief guest.
Among others, District BNP vice-president Nazrul Islam Mondol, Bishwanath Sarker, Professor Jahangir Hossain, Abdur Razzak, Samiul Islam Moon, Alauddin Lalu, city Joint convener Mamunar Rashid, District Joint convener Raihanul Alam Raihan, Wadud Hasan Pintu, District BNP Organizational Secretary Golam Mostafa Mamun, Godagari President Abdus Salam Sawal also spoke at the meeting.
