2 killed in shootout

Two suspected drug dealers were killed in a gun-battle with the members of Border Guard Bangladesh and Rapid Action Battalion at Himchhari in Cox's Bazar early Thursday.
With this, the number of deaths stood at 194 across the country since May 12.
The identities of the deceased could not be known yet.
Afrozul Haq Tutul, additional superintendent of Cox's Bazar police, said the joint forces team set a check post at Marine Drive Road and gave a signal to a white car to stop around 6am.
But the car move on defying the signal and at one stage, the criminal opened fire on them, forcing the BGB and RAB men to fire back that triggered a gunfight.
Later, they rescued two people with bullet injuries and rushed them to a local hospital where the on-duty doctors declared the duo dead.
