Mango trader dies from snakebite

A mango trader died from snakebite at Chakgopal village in Porsha upazila of Naogaon district on Friday night.

The deceased was identified as Rubel Hossain, 45. Son of late Mafiz Uddin, he hailed from Boran Jazipara Majhar village under Tongi Police Station of Gazipur district.

According to locals, Rubel would buy mangoes from the district staying in the village and send these to Dhaka.

A venomous snake bit the victim when she was in bed.

Later, he died on the way to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH).
