Three Bangladeshi films in SAARC Film Festival

The 8th SAARC Film Festival is about to start from May 22 in the Sri Lankan capital Colombo. The festival will run for six days ending on May 27. Three full-length features and two shorts from Bangladesh will take part in the festival.
Monjurul Islam Megh, the coordinator of media and communication for Bangladeshi films in the festival has revealed the news. Tauquir Ahmed directed Haldaa and Akram Khan directed Khacha will take part in the festival. Apart from these two Morshedul Islam's Akhi O Tar Bondhura will take part in the Master Filmmakers' Section. Two short films Kalo Megher Bhelay and Daag have been in the short films' category.
It might be mentioned that Tauquir Ahmed won the Best Screenwriter Prize for his film Oggatonama in the last edition of the festival. Halda is based on the lives of river-people. Oggatonama was based on the migrant crisis and the illegal trade regarding it.
