ABN Group MD remanded after arrest

Missing BNP central leader, Syed Sadat Ahmed, was placed on a three-day remand  by a Dhaka Court on Sunday in a case filed for killing a private car driver  burning through petrol bomb during the BNP -Jamaat blockade programme in 2015.
Sadat, a BNP national executive committee member and the owner of a business group, ABN Group, was allegedly picked up by a group of men in a microbus on August 22 in 2017 and he was traceless for around four months.
Metropolitan Magistrate  Pranab Kumar Hui passed the remand order as the Investigation Officer(IO) of the case Saiful Islam Khan also Sub Inspector of the Detective Branch(DB) of  police  produced him before the court with plea to grant a ten-day remand for questioning.
 After 128 days of his disappearance, suddenly at 10pm on Saturday, a team of DB police traced him in Rampura Bridge area and nabbed him. Later he was shown arrested in a murder case of Ramna Police Station which occurred during the BNP -Jamaat blockade programme in 2015.
