Poor children collect paddy from rat holes with risk

DINAJPUR, Dec 30: The farmers are busy with harvesting Aman paddy, so there is a festive mood prevailing in the houses of the farmers.
On the other hand, the landless families are not getting food. Their children could not go to school. The small children feel hungry though they do not know what is misery.
The children are collecting paddy from the wholes of the rats. They are dreaming to have food and winter cake to collect the paddy.
The children are busy with collecting paddy rather than going to school. They are doing it with a great risk as there is fear of snake and other insects.
The farmers are busy with cutting paddy while the children are collecting paddy from the rat's hole in the paddy field.
After a spot visit in Chirirbandar Upazila, it was seen that the children are collecting paddy from the holes in the paddy fields.
The rats stocked the bunch of ripe paddy in their holes as food. And the children dig the holes and collect the paddy, which make them happy.
The children go to the paddy field with trowel, spade, shovel and sacks to collect the paddy to fulfil their dream to have winter cake.
