Body found in Rajshahi sugarcane field

Rajshahi: Police recovered a body of an old woman from a sugarcane field in Godagari upazila of Rajshahi on Tuesday noon.

The deceased was identified as Maleka Bibi, 65, wife of late Delwar Hossain, a resident of Matikata Bypass area of the upazila.

Godagari Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Hafizur Alam Munchi confirmed the matter.

Neighbours of the deceased informed the police after seeing her decomposed body in the field, and later police recovered the body, the OC added.
