A missing marine engineer has been found dead at a construction site in Sukrabad in the city.
Police recovered the body of the engineer Rafiqul Hasan Rimon from the ground floor of a ten-storey under-construction building around 11.30pm on Sunday.
The deceased was last seen on a CCTV camera near Sukrabad's Metro Shopping Mall, said New Market Police Station Inspector Abdus Salam. The investigation into the incident is going on, he said.
On Saturday, Rimon's father Kahlil Ullah lodged a GD with Dhaka's New Market Police Station stating that Rimon, 42, had recently gone missing.
Rimon was traceless from December 16 after he left his in-laws' house in Science Laboratory for a short trip to Dhanmondi. Earlier, on the same day, he brought his children to the house.
Getting information on Sunday night, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body of the missing engineer. Two friends of Rimon identified the body.
