The BBC on Tuesday offered apology for putting on air a one-sided story on alleged meeting of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's IT Adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy with Israel's ruling Likud Party leader Mendi N Safadi. The BBC apology came following a demonstration staged by UK chapter of the Awami League for putting on air a fabricated story on Joy meeting Safadi, according to a number of private TV channels. Recently, BBC put on air the story on alleged meeting between the Prime Minister's son and the Israeli politician without taking comments from Joy.
