Hefajat threatens to paralyze country if N’ganj teacher not punished

Hefazat-e-Islam has threatened to paralyze the country if teacher Shyamol Kanti Bhakta is not punished by 72 hours for what it said his comment hurting religious sentiments.

"All key highways and roads will be blocked as well as the entire country to be paralysed if the teacher is not punished within 72 hours," said Mawlana Abul Awal, president of Narayanganj unit Hefajat-e-Islam on Friday.

The warning came from a protest rally held in front of DIT Mosque in Narayanganj city after Jum'a prayers.
