Jessore: Jessore University of Science and Technology (JUST) has been closed for 15 days following demonstrations of students over the suspension of four of their fellows on sexual harassment charge.

The resident male students have been asked to vacate their dormitories by 6pm on Tuesday while female ones by 9am on Wednesday.

The decision came at a Syndicate meeting of the university held on Tuesday afternoon, public relations officer (PRO) of the university Hayatuzzaman Mukul told UNB.

Earlier several days ago, the JUST authorities suspended four students after the allegation of harassing a female student of the university against them was proved.

Since then, a group of university students had been staging demonstrations protesting the decision.
