RANGAMATI, Apr 25: Chakma Rajmata Aroti Roy Chakma, wife of late Raja Tridiv Roy, died early Monday. She was 81.
Aroti Roy, who had been suffering from liver disease, breathed her last around 3.00 am on the way to Rangamati from Dhaka by a helicopter, Rangamati Civil Surgeon Dr Sneha Kanti Chakma said.
Aroti, mother of Chakma Circle Chief Barrister Debashish Roy, was admitted to a private hospital in Dhaka city on April 16.
She was being shifted to Rangamati from the hospital as her condition deteriorated on Sunday night.
