Mohammedan Sporting Club Ltd, the traditional black and whites, will meet Brothers Union, the Gopibagh outfits, in their fifth and last match of Group-A in the KFC Independence Cup Football-2016 today (Thursday) at 5:30pm at the same venue.
Mohammedan boys have six points from four matches and they are currently at the fourth place of the group. The other three top teams are, leader Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Ltd, second placers Chittagong Abahani Ltd and third placers Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra.
Sheikh Jamal have 12 points from four matches while Chittagong Abahani have nine points from same number of matches. Mukties played all five matches and have nine points.
Yet the Jamal boys already confirmed the next round but who are going to be the group champions is not clear.
At this point, Mohammedan boys may able to play the semis if they can win today's match against the Gopibagh boys with a big goal difference and if Chittagong Abahani lose their last match against Sheikh Jamal tomorrow.
