Assistant Foreign Minister of China Kong Xuanyou on Wednesday said China is interested to increase its assistance to Bangladesh for its agriculture, communications and infrastructure sectors. The Chinese junior minister said this when he made a courtesy call on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban. Welcoming the Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister at Bangabhaban, the President said Chinese assistance in various sectors, including agriculture, communications and infrastructure, are increasing and it is playing an important role in socio-economic development of the country. President's Press Secretary Joynal Abedin briefed reporters after the meeting. Abdul Hamid praised the Chinese government for allowing duty-free access of Bangladeshi products to China.
