Court orders police to quiz Annie at jail gate

A Dhaka court on Sunday rejected the remand prayer for interrogation of Annie, a student leader of BNP, and ordered police to quiz him at jail gate for two days in a case filed for torching a passenger bus at city's Gulistan area in December 2014.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Mazharul Islam passed the above order as the Investigation Officer (IO) of the case SM Hasan also the Sub Inspector of Paltan Police Station prayed to the court to grant a week-long remand for questioning.
Earlier Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie, student affairs secretary of BNP, was shown arrested in this case by another court.
 The new case against the former student leader Annie is that some Jamaat-Shibir men set fire to a Narayaganj-bound bus in front of Sergeant Ahad Police Box near Gulistan in evening on December 31 in 2014.   
On January 28 BNP student affairs secretary Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie was sent jail after two Dhaka courts denied him bail in nine violence related cases.
