The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) on Tuesday interrogated BNP vice chairman and former state minister for culture Selima Rahman for allegedly taking a Rajuk plot showing a 'false' affidavit.
ACC deputy director Jahangir Alam interrogated her from 10 am to 10:30 am at the Commission's head office, ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya said.
Earlier, the ACC received an allegation that 44 former ministers and MPs and 44 others took Rajuk's plots on 20 bigha land in the city's Banana area during the tenure of BNP-led four-party alliance, providing false information.
Later, the national anti-graft body launched a probe into the allegation in 2014. Selima Rahman was interrogated on Tuesday in connection with the allegation.
In January 2015, the ACC also filed a case against BNP leader Shahidul Islam (former MP of Satkhira-3) for allegedly taking a Rajuk plot in the city's Banani area by giving a false affidavit.     ?UNB
