Pakistan Minister has agreed to provide its land as transit route for exporting Bangladeshi goods to the central Asian countries.
Bangladesh may use Pakistan as its transit route to the central Asian countries. Senator Parvaiz Rashid, Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Islamic Republic of Pakistan told this to the visiting Bangladesh journalist at a meeting in his office on Thursday.
While exchanging views, the Senator said the products of Bangladesh could be exported to Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, China and to other Asian countries using Pakistan's land as its transit point. Pakistan may also use Bangladesh land for exporting its products to the Asian and other Eastern countries.
He said, "If the offer comes from Bangladesh government then we may work on the subject between the two governments."
Rashid said, "My government is already working on a draft policy to build regional trade connectivity between Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Afghanistan."
"We are also thinking to work together on poverty reduction, to control extremism and peace and communal harmony", the Information minister said.
"On the basis of forgiveness and forgetting both the countries can work together." "Pakistan has no interest in internal affairs of Bangladesh and duo can work for economic development and sustainability." In addition, the two countries have similarities between their food, music and in some other traditional matters, he said.
The minister emphasized on trade diversification and direct investment by utilizing the opportunities of cheaper costs for doing businesses in both the countries.
