Juba League man hurt in polls clash dies

BOGRA, Apr 3: A local Juba League activist who suffered injuries during a clash over Thursday's Union Parishad (UP) elections in Sonatola upazila died at the Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital here early on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Liton Miah, 30, son of Zinnat Ali, of Pathanpara village in the upazila.
Liton Miah was declared dead at the hospital around 5:00am, said In-Charge of the police camp at the hospital Shah Alam Liton. At least 20 people were injured during the clash between the supporters of elected Digdair Union Parishad member Abdus Samad and defeated candidate Selim at Pathanpara village.
